Are you thinking about adoption? Do you want to learn more about raising an adopted child in a Jewishly connected family? Would you like to connect with other families on this journey?

Join Adoption Connection (JFCS), Jewish Baby Network (JFCS), Honeymoon Israel and PJ Library Bay Area as we explore these questions in a gentle and caring way.

Michelle Nobriga, Director for Adoption Connection will give an introduction to the adoptions process. Carol Booth, Director of Jewish Baby Network will share special concerns and meaningful approaches for raising an adopted child. Curtis Sechrist, PJ Library Parent Connector and Honeymoon Israel East Bay Director of Community Engagement will share his own experiences with creating a family through adoption. Adoption Connection and Jewish Baby Network are programs of Jewish Family and Children’s Services.

You will then have the opportunity to explore one of these issues more in depth. All participants will receive additional contacts and resources to support them in this process. We will also briefly touch on surrogacy/gestational carriers.

We welcome everyone, including unaffiliated, single and multi-parent, multi-faith, multi abled, and LGBTQ families.
Cosponsored by Congregations Beth Am, Beth Jacob, Kol Emeth, Or Shalom, Sherith Israel, and the PJCC.
Major Funding provided by The Koret Foundation, Rodan Family Foundation, Natan Giving Circle, Leslie Family Foundation and the Jeff Astor Foundation.
Jewish Baby Network is a program of Jewish Family and Children’s Services’ Center for Children and Youth.
